About Resonant
Mindfulness.
A simple way back to yourself, with Damien Hooper.
Meet Damien
I’m Damien Hooper, founder of Resonant Mindfulness. For decades, I looked fine, but I didn’t feel fine. That experience led me to create a practice centred on coming back to yourself.
I help capable but overwhelmed people feel like themselves again, without trying harder.
Resonant Mindfulness combines mindfulness, embodiment and coherence. Its essential practice, the Resonant Breath, brings breath, body, touch and attention together through a simple thumb-to-finger sequence, with the breath itself unchanged.
What coaching and meditation provide
The website, books, guided meditations and coaching provide mindfulness education and support for everyday practice. Coaching offers a conversation about what you notice, where you get stuck, and how you practise returning to your body in ordinary life.
These services are not medical care, psychological therapy, diagnosis, treatment or crisis support. They do not replace advice or care from an appropriately qualified health professional. Do not delay seeking professional care or change prescribed treatment because of something you read or experience here.
“Your Nervous System Reset Coach” is the name of the coaching service. Here, a nervous system reset describes coming back to yourself; it is not a clinical procedure or a promise to treat a health condition. Experiences vary, and no particular feeling, change or outcome is guaranteed.
Take care of yourself as you practise
You can pause, adapt or stop at any time. Keep your breathing natural and unchanged. There is no need to hold, deepen or force the breath, or to push through discomfort.
Your eyes can stay open, gentle movement is welcome, and one round can be enough. If inward attention feels overwhelming, return attention to the room around you. If you feel dizzy, panicked, numb, disoriented or more distressed, stop and seek qualified support if needed.
If you have a health concern or are unsure whether a practice is suitable for you, speak with an appropriately qualified health professional before taking part. Use practices somewhere you can safely give them your attention, away from driving or operating machinery.
For general information, see the NCCIH guidance on meditation and mindfulness.
